Could Barrett S Oesophagus Be The Cause For The Pain In The Abdomen?

I wake up every morning with a pain in the middle of my stomach. I have been to my GI doctor and had a endoscopy done. The doctor told me I had Barrett s Esophagus, but it wasn t real bad and that I should have another endoscopy done next year. I still don t know why I keep waking up with this pain. After I am awake and out of bed it goes away. Someone said, its gas, I don t know what it is, but it seems neither does the doctor. Any Ideas of what might be causing this pain. I do have a Hiatal hernia and GERDS and I take Nexium 40mg twice a day and I don t eat anything late at night. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
