Coughing With Mucous, Stuffy Nose And High Temp In An Infant Surrounded By Bronchitic People. Is The Child Also Infected?
Hi, my five month old is Coughing with mucus, has a stuffy nose and has a temperature of 99.4. He is fussier than normal and threw up earlier. We just got back from vacation, he was around people that had bronchitis. I made them wear a mask, and wash their hands. Some people still coughed in their hands though a touched Charlie. Could he have bronchitis?

I really understand your concern, the chances of infection is fairly possible if it is viral, in body temperature of 99.4 is okay, no need to give any medicine, the condition will come around, without medicine, unless temperature goes above 100 degree F and stay there, then child would need medicine, otherwise you can try pure honey for symptomatic relief, take care of your child, and have nice day.
