Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are most likely suffering from severe bacterial infection (yellow colored discharge) involving nasal mucosa or sinus mucosa.
Do you have swelling/ redness/ pain at either or both cheeks?
Maxillary sinus is present just below the eyes and behind the cheek bones. It has its separate opening on both side.
At times opening of maxillary sinus gets blocked and secretion gets collected. Collected fluid gets infected and may cause yellow foul smelling discharge from nostrils.
You should consult with ENT surgeon and gets your PNS x ray of nasal sinuses.
If sinusitis is present then you should take proper complete antibiotic treatment for rapid recovery.
If not treatable with antibiotics then you should go for minor surgery for drainage.
If bacterial rhinitis is the cause, then by use of broad spectrum antibiotics you can get relief.
Thanks,

Hi welcome to healthcare magic, I am sorry that you are well

It sounds like a rhinosinusitis (because the nasal mucosa in normally involved and sinusitis normally occurs with rhinitis).
The sinuses are air filled spaces that are located in the forehead, eyes, cheeks and nasal bones.Sinusitis can be allergic, viral, bacterial or fungal in origin. Some of the symptoms include facial pain, nasal discharge, blocked nose, persistant coughing, postnasal drip (this may contribute to the smell). The fact that the symptoms have been ongoing for a month may suggest a bacterial infection which require the use of antibiotics.Additional medication that is somethings used of sinusitis include nasal sprays, decongestants and antihistamines.
You should consider visiting your doctor for an assessment. Your doctor wil take the history and conduct an ear, nose and throat examination. He or she will treat as necessary.

There are other causes of bad odor from the mouth (halitosis) so if it doses not resolve with treatment of the infection then you may want to consider visiting a dentist.

I hope that this information is helpful
