Hi and welcome to HCM.
She should be happy for staying alive. Even lower dose of paracetamol poisoning can cause acute liver failure and death. SOmetime only transplantation can help. It might have irreversible affect on liver and kidney function. Why do you have doubts about it? You should assure that she never do it again.
WIsh you good luck.

Cardiologist Dr. Anantharamakrishnan's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Crocin (paracetamol) in excess causes severe liver damage leading to death, in many.
Other damages could also have occurred / masked or overshadowed for the time being
Your friend is lucky to have survived...
Why should the doctors be acting?
If she comes around, she will need Psychiatric assessment and assistance...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
