Conceived twice, miscarriage both times. Blood and thyroid test prescribed. Causes for frequent miscarriages?

sir, we are 3.5 years back married couple and first time after conceive five month back ,the child was death ,than we removed by one of the local ,last one month back same condition was happened (3 to 4 month pregnancy). we asked the same doctor,how it was happened same,this time also.but she told us to check blood & thyroid test. we are eagerly looking your answer and need some advice.thanks.
