Clear fluid discharge with heavy blood flow through rectum. What is the cause and remedy
Hi Im really concerned with my husbands that he is telling me about. He has a clear liquid discharge with blood in it coming from is rectum . This has happened before but it will be very small amounts and will only happen for the day and then go away but this time it is large amounts of the discharge with blood so I m like freaking out.

It could be a simple hemorrhoids which are the skin tags formed when there is constipation causing straining during passing of stools and blood vessels rupture causing bleeding. It is a benign condition which is cured once stools are made soft. If hemorrhoids are ruled out,then it can a infection or chronic conditions which can only be ruled out by colonoscopy.
I advice you to visit surgeon who after examination and investigations will treat accordingly. hemorrhoids need only stool softeners and local anesthetic creams to be applied over anus. he should drink lot of fluids and fibers in his diet.
Stool examination had to be carried out to rule out infection as he is having discharge also and later treated with antibiotics for seven days.
