Chronic middle back pain below ribs, feeling of muscle pull

I have a middle back pain right below my ribs and it s chronic . It feels as if someone is pulling the muscle on the left side of my spine. It also affects my spine causing much pain. Please tell me what this is? I am a very active dancer and that must have something to do with it. ( It s not a pulled muscle because it s been hurting for about a year now)

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I think it is mechanical type of back pain. this is due to weak back muscles. I would recommend you to go for physiotherapy and learn back muscle strengthening exercises. I would also recommend you to take muscle relaxant like Myoril or Myospaz . These tablets will help in relieving muscle spasm. Avoid bending your back for some time.
