Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

Based on the given description, you could have suffered a soft tissue contusion due to blunt trauma.

The primary management involves giving adequate rest to the injured tissues, avoid putting additional strain on them, Ice packing once in 2 hours to alleviate the pain, analgesics & muscle relaxant medications as needed, moist heat application over the affected areas to relax the muscles.

A proper clinical examination and appropriate investigations are necessary to diagnose any deep seated injuries.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
