Chronic Itching Under Thumb. No Change In Diet, Medication. Possible Reason?

I have extreme itching under my thumb on my right hand. The skin is not dry, there are no bumps and this has been going on for about 3 months now. No matter how much I scratch, it does not go away. Also a new line has appeared where it is itching. I have not changed my diet, meds or anything. So I have not clue what is causing this.

Chronic itching on the thumb can be urticaria.rule out food allergens dyes and insect stings.sometimes it can be due to low potassium levels.go for serum electrolytes.take antihistamine apply calamine and take potassium rich products
