Chills, Body Pain, Tingling, No Nausea. Food Poisoning?

My husband just suddenly came down with chills and extreme body aches, tingling (pins and needles) everywhere. It all came on within about 20 -30 minutes. Could it be food poisoning? He doesn t feel particularly nauseous or sick to his stomach , but he is groaning a lot and doubled over. He says no pain anywhere. thanks.

Hi, it appears that it may be malaria infection, or may be viral infection like chikan gunya. I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have blood tests DC, ESR, AEC, QBC, WIDAL etc.
If it is malaria it will again come at the same time, next day. so dont neglect to consult a doctor. Thank you.

Hi Dear

Welcome to the platform of Health care Magic.

As you have narrated the symptomatology of your husband. It does not appears to me the food poisoning.

Severe and sudden body ache of this severity with chills appears to me
probably of viral origin.

Dengue fever is like epedmic in society now days ,which should be ruled out with relevant investigations.

Please consult your physician so that he can rule out other suspected etiologies along with dengue fever.

Hope the query is answered

Thanks
