Child With Persisting Fever, Pain In The Throat And Head. Treatment?

Any thoughts on a child with low grade fever (101F), 36 hrs, throat hurts when swallowing but not scratchy, complaint that top of head hurts when jostled (e.g. Piggy back ride yesterday, but today walking does it), but when bending chin forward to chest, pain is only in front of neck , i.e. throat, and overall she is seemingly faring well?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic,
The child seems to have throat infection and this is the cause for fever, throat pain and headache.
You can give paracetamol syrup in prescribed doasge every 6th or 8th hourly depending on the presence of fever.
Maintain hydration by giving plenty of oral fluids and water and give soft diet.
Consult your Pediatrician for the examination to find out the focus of infection and its specific treatment.
Hope i have answered your query.
