Child With Loose Motion And Fever. Giving Calpol. Proper Treatment For Fever?
my 8months old baby boy is suffering from fever , cold and loose motions from 3days ihave treated him with calpol120mg,and meftalp.in regular intervals but the temperature is coming down and i observed small rash all over the body...when i consulted a peadiatrician he prescribed fepanil,dkof.,vepod,econorom..can i give this

Thanks for your query.
Your baby is having fever with cold and loose motion which is mostly viral in nature and takes few days to settle.
Give oral rehydration solution sip by sip after each stools,give coconut water,lemonade,mashed banana.boiled potato.
Continue with acetaminophen for fever till it is above 100F.
Continue with probiotic,antibiotics are given in case any bacterial infection is there.
For rashes apply calamine lotion 2 to 3 times a day.give antiallergic like benadryl as per dosage.
Monitor her for features of dehydration like any lethargy,decreased urination,increased thirst and in case you find any get her evaluated by pediatrician.
