Child With Fever, Mucus In The Stool And Sore Throat. Is This Normal With Fever?

hi my 4 year old boy had a high temp for 5 days which i gave him calpol and nurfen combined,went off his food but was drinking loads. took him to doctor said all was ok apart from slight red sore throar. but a few days after temp gone he had loose wind with poo,but even now his poos are more firm his wind is releasing a clear mucue,but not every time is this normal? he's eating and drinking fine now and not complained off any pain.

Hello.Your child has had a virus.Virus in children often cause problems in poo(diarrhea, mucus). That's normal.
Only if you see mucus in poo after 4-5 days or if he have fever, abdomen pain or very decreased appetite you should go to your pediatrician to examine him and request poo analysis.By now is recommended to take food as rice, chicken, apple, banana, carrot, bread toast or ham york.
