hello,as per your description i think your child is suffering from rampant caries/ nursing bottle caries..
they affect lots of teeth at a moment and compartively causes faster tooth decay..
yes his teeth can be saved if his infected tooth have sound root.. and major portion of crown is still intact. but since the crown structure is lost the doc advised you for their removal.. you can also opt for root canal therapy in teeth and let the root stumps in mouth itself after treatment.. for cosmetic purpose overdenture can be made for him..
first of all dont worry.. explain your concern and fear to dentist he will help you out..
2yrs age is too young to be brushing self, make sure you help him in brushing daily twice after meals.. infact you should be brushing his teeth now.. its your responsiblity too till he crosses age of five.. and never give him bottle with milk during sleep as this has been reported to be main cause of milk tooth decay.. clean his teeth before sleep.. get all incipient caries in milk tooth filled/restored at earliest..
take care..

Hi
First of all, immediately stop bottle feeding of milk.Scientifically, its a wrong concept, you should always give milk through glass or small bowl.Donot show any bottle from the begining.Proclined teeth, disturbed relationship of upper and lower jaw are the results of bottle feeding. (then you will have to go for orthodontic treatment at the age of 12 years). Looking to age of child, it is very important to save milk teeth because shedding age of theses teeth are 7-8 years.Single sitting root canal treatment can be done in all four upper incisor under local or general anaesthesia and crowns shapes can be taken at that time only.Artificial crowns can be placed after one week, that way we can get pleasnt smile of child.Because to live healthy childs smile gives us all positive energy. This happens because of not having sufficient dental education of parents, you have only the culprit, who have stolen the childs smile.Donot worry ,now you got all infofmation,go to the Pedodontists clinic .This procedure should be done under antibiotic, analgesic and b-complex coverage. Now a days procedure can become simple ,if you choose LASER TREATMENT.Always follow good healthy rules of our human body (for all child +adults) brusyh twice a day (morning and night)and use antiseptic mouth wash once aday in mid day time.Donot take anything except water after night brushing. For small kids ,if they are sleeping ,wipe their teeth with wet cotton cloth. For every child routine dental check- up is required in every six months interval (from sevev to thirteen yrs of age and dental education is necessory for parents when child comes to their family.
