Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
Is she passing urine large quantities or just dribbling?
Is taking large quantities of water?
What about sugar in urine report?
These are important to advise you further.
Frequency of urination is due to urinary tract infection and culture report to be seen.
But taking excessive amounts of water and passing frequent, large urine quantity needs evaluation with urine for sugar, ketone bodies and blood sugar and electrolytes estimation.
So consult your Pediatrician for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query.

Pediatrician Dr. Synthyia Bhagat's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Increased frequency of urination can be due to urinary infection, increased intake of water or irritable bladder.
If it is not associated with any burning micturation and fever or pain infection is unlikely.
Monitor her intake of fluids.
Wait for urine culture report and be in regular follow up with your pediatrician.
Wishing your child good health.
God bless.

hi

your child seems to have urinary tract infection

is the child crying with pain while passing urine..............is there any fever

we will also have to rule out diabetes if the child passes frequently urine (rarely diabetes can be a cause of course rare and uti is more common) does he have any excessive thirst................

if diagnosed to have urinary infection.........child should be started on antibiotics

take care
