My daughter is 1.8 yrs old...she is urinating v.frquently From past 2-3 days...20-25 times in a day..we hav gone for urine test n pus cells are absent n evn report is normal..doctor suggested for urine culture n we are waiting for the reports to come. Is it possible tht ny kind of infection can be detected in urine culture report...
Thank you for your query,
Is she passing urine large quantities or just dribbling?
Is taking large quantities of water?
What about sugar in urine report?
These are important to advise you further.
Frequency of urination is due to urinary tract infection and culture report to be seen.
But taking excessive amounts of water and passing frequent, large urine quantity needs evaluation with urine for sugar, ketone bodies and blood sugar and electrolytes estimation.
So consult your Pediatrician for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks for your query.
Increased frequency of urination can be due to urinary infection, increased intake of water or irritable bladder.
If it is not associated with any burning micturation and fever or pain infection is unlikely.
Monitor her intake of fluids.
Wait for urine culture report and be in regular follow up with your pediatrician.
Wishing your child good health.
