Child Tested For Salmonella Typhi. What Stage Of Typhoid Is It? Prescribed Levofloxacin, Cefixime. Correct Medication?
I am Sanjoy from Bhubaneswar,Odisha. My 2yrs 7months old daughter has been tested Salmonella typhi , O Antigen(TO) as 1:160 in Widal Slide Agglutination Test. Would like to know what stage of Typhoid is this? Doctor has prescribed 2 Antibiotics like Like Levofloxacin syrup & Cefixime Oral Suspension for 7 days. Are we moving towards right path of curing the same?

Your daughter is having enteric or typhoid fever,and i suggest to give medication as advised by your doctor.
I advise you to give her plenty of fluids,fruit juices,glucose water and light diet like dhalia,rice porridge,khichdi.
