Child Suffering From Fever, Cough And Cold. Gave Crocin, Ambrolite-s And Allerid. Fever Recurring After The Medicine Dose. Reason For Persistent Fever?
Hi doctor.....my son is 1 yr 9 months old...he is suffering from fever, cough n cold since monday.....we met doctor and he suggested to give crocin syrup , ambrolite-S syrup and allerid syrup.....the fever is continuously present till today...just goes off when medicine is given and then it appears again....at times we gav meftal-P too but still fever came bcak with 4-5 hrs and then gav crocin n again meftal-p....he is administered azithral syrup from wednesday morn....why is the fever still persistant?

First of all what did the doctor tell u is the reason for fever? Did they diagnose a viral infection or allergic cough?
A thorough check up is required to find out the cause of fever. Antibiotic azithral syrup did not help him at all? Did the azithral syrup reduce his cough and cold?
Baby may need a chest X-ray to find out the cause for cough cold and fever.
Be careful when you give multiple doses of Meftal- P and crocin as both contain Paracetamol. So count your doses and give according to recommended dose.
