Child Is Sensitive To Oil, Red And Itchy Boils, Using Cetaphil Lotion. Why Would This Happen?

Hi, My daughter is now 2.5 years old. Since birth, her skin has been very sensitive to oils . We ended up using Coconut oil for massage after trying olive oil, almond oil and johnsons baby oil. However, we discontinued even that after she was 8-9 months old.. With change of season, she used to get small red itchy boils on her hands and legs especially in the joints.... Her paediatric recommended Seba med Ph 5.5 baby soap which i have been using since then. Apart from this soap, I have always used Cetaphil moisturising lotion. However, i have recently discontinued even that as it appeared that her skin was not getting moisturised enough and was dry more often.... However, except for her face (where i have never used this soap), her entire body is turned atleast 2 tonnes darker. Why would this happen.. What should i do... Which soap and moisturising lotion should i use..... Thanks..

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi ,
Thank you for your query.
I think your child is suffering from some form of atopic dermatitis :that is allergy of the skin. She should avoid all types of irritants to the skin including, oils, dusts, mites, pollens, creams and ointments. Her skin should be well hydrated and she should use a daily cleanser and a good quality moisturizer. She should use a syndet containing soap.Review by a skin specialist is warranted.Hope this answers your query.Wishing your child a speedy recovery.Have a nice day.
