Hello and welcome to HCM,
Diarrhea is common in infants especially when weaning is started.
During episodes of diarrhea, nutrition and hydration have to be maintained.
Continue
ORS solution in order to prevent
dehydration.
The nutrition should also be maintained by giving some light food stuffs like rice-dal, dal water, coconut water, soups, etc.
Continue breast feed along with food.
Diarrhea is commonly caused by infection at this age.
You need to consult your
pediatrician to look for infection and thus treatment for the infection.
G-6-PD deficiency is not aggravated by diarrhea.
In G-6-PD deficiency, medication and agents which cause
oxidative stress have to be avoided.
You need to inform your pediatrician about your G-6-PD status.
Thanks and take care
