Child Hit Head, No Concussion, Dent On Temple, Normal Bruising Colours. Matter Of Concern?
my almost two year old hit her head (left temple) on the corner of the wall. there was a small dent on the temple where she hit it. it is bruising and she won t let me ice it. she seems to be fine with no signs of concussion . the dent filled out with the normal swelling . normal bruising colors. should i be concerned?
Watch for symptoms of head injury such as vomitings, abnormal behavior, bleeding from nose and ears, fits and report immediately if you see any of these.
You can give Tylenol or ibuprofen in prescribed dose for pain and gently apply ice.
Consult the pediatrician for physical examination to look for any abnormal signs.
