Child Heard A Pop On Falling, Had Leg Numbness, Was Able To Walk With A Limp. What Could Have Happened?

My son was playing football and was running when he said he heard a pop and fell to the ground, heard another pop when he hit the ground, then said he couldn t feel his leg. after 10 min he was able to walk on the leg with a limp. when the injury occured, he was not tackled by the other player. It happened while he was running down the sideline.

Hi..lyony.., since the child was able to walk after the fall, and signs of swelling at the injured site.. there is no fracture.. the sound of pop may be due to gliding of patella over the femur, these are knee joint bone.. do not not worry...
