Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

I do not think that your 4.5 years old son is lying. Some children are able to induce some lies by faking some symptoms simply because they want more attention than given to them. But in your son's situation I do not think he could be lying as the most probable cause of his stomach pain is likely from the food he is eating at the day care. He might be having some sort of a food intolerance and that will require a lot of parental vigilance to detect which food is responsible.
This could just be the onset of an irritable bowel. Also gastritis due to H. pylori should be excluded by the doctor after requesting for laboratory investigations.
You can start by having your son stop eating from the day care and see if he still complains.

Hope this helps

hello there..

welcome to healthcare magic..

wel from the above depicted history of ur son, its actually difficult to say if he lying or if there is some real problem..

the point which goes against lying is that he is going to bathroom quite often and for long hours as in that its difficult to find a kind who can malign so much..

in that age its very common to have mild on and off constipation due to round worm infections...or it may be due to amoebiasis in which there wil be alternate diarrhoea and constipation..

itz better to give a simple and empirical treatment for that..

give him 1) ofloxacin-ornidazole combination syrup once daily for 5 days and 2) as single tablet of albendazole only once .. both the infections wil be cured... if the symptoms still persists then i would suggest you take him to a higher centre

wel i hope this solves ur query..

i wish him a speedy
