Child Having Severe Stomach Pain, Headache, Diarrhoea, Vomitting. Due To Bug?
7 year old woke up last night with severe stomach pains. Tried to going to bathroom nothing said she still felt as if she had to go but nothing. Has complained all day of severe stomach pains and headache . Has no fever but gas had an instance of very runny diareaha and vomited. Has had very little to eat and trying to keep hydrated. Is it a bug or something more she never complains of a stomach ache??
Hi. Thanks for the query.
From your query it looks like it might be a stomach flu. Still, if your child has eaten in any restaurant or any uncooked food or anything from roadside stalls, picnics, etc, you have to consider food poisoning. This usually presents with severe stomach pain, diarrhea or vomiting.
.As your child is not able to take sufficient oral feeds due to the ache, i advise you to go to your pediatrician. and get checked for food poisoning, urinary infection or stomach flu. Besides, your child will be given medication to be relieved of the cramps in the tummy and will be significantly better. This is better than waiting and watching at home in her present condition.
Hope your child gets well soon. Take care. bye.
