Child Having Fever, Sore Throat, Diarrhoea. Unable To Eat. On Calpol. Suggestions?
hi, i m just wondering about my six yr old daughter, she has been ill with a temp of 38+ all day, she has had a couple of times of sickness this morn, a bout of direhhea.... she did say her belly hurt for a little while but then it went, her throat hur her through the day too.. but her hands are hot and she has said they are starting to ache... she has been on settee all day hasn t been able to eat.. i have tried to get her to drink, but she isn t much of a drinker on a normal day and had calpol every 4 hours....

Loose stools, sore throat, fever- Probably its a viral fever. It will cause body ache and needs bed rest. It will take atleast two to three days to improve, till then keep giving calpol every fourth hourly. But hydration is important, try buttermilk, tender coconut water, milk, sips of water. she should pass good amount of urine. Getting a physician opinion always will help. Looking at the throat will help decide whether antibiotics are needed.
Don't worry she will be alright in few days. She needs some days of rest and hydration.
