Child Having Cough, Congestion, Asthma Problems. Prescribed Steroids, Breathing Treatments. Reschedule Surgery For T&A?
Hi, my 6 yr old is having a T & A on 3/11; he started coughing and congestion on sunday 3/3- he has asthma but pediatrician put him on steriod and to do breathing treatments every 4 hrs. I need to know if i need to reschedule the surgery which is in 4 days? Or to wait and see how the weekend goes and see if he gets better?

Hi, If your child is posted for surgery in four days and he has congestion It is advisable that anaesthetist alsohas a look and the ENT surgeon who is going to operate on him also has a look and they decide whether to operate or not.
