Child Have Vomiting Often And Take Usual Quantity Of Food Occasionally. What Test Is To Be Done?

I have an almost 2 yr old who is quite small, low percentile for weight. She is prone to vomiting on average about once a fortnight which I have not been able to link with food. Some days she eats more than my eight year old! During my pregnancy with her there were issues with her growth but not a problem with the placenta, although all turned out to be normal and sge was born weighing 6pounds 13. Do you have any suggestions for tests I should ask my doctor for?

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

As she is low percentile for weigh, the organic causes for her vomitings should be investigated.

Forceful feeding also one of the cause for vomitings in this age group.

The other causes of vomitings like intestinal like reflux and obstruction, metabolic, thyroid, and neurological should be ruled out by physical examination and with investigations.

Consult the pediatrician for this problems, get examined and investigated thoroughly to rule out any underlying medical problem for her underweight and vomitings.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
