Child Have Viral Fever

my son 3.5 year old has been diagnosed of viral fever.he was on medication for the past 10 days now. his fever had vanished and only some dry cough was left off. now suddenly his fever has reaappeared after going away for 3 days. he has been put on meftal p 7.5 ml.every 6 hours and maxtra.(phenylprine hyd, chlorpheniramine maleate)

can it me meningitis? also complaining of pain in back and head.

Hello. Thank you for your question. The scenario you describe is very common in children. This does not sound at all like meningitis, especially if he is able to turn his head. More likely, he was reinfected with another virus. You can approach this the same way you approached the previous illness. If the fever persists for more than 2 days, I recommend consulting your doctor.
