Child has pasty stools, seedy, with mucus. Due to eating apple?

I am feeding my 5 and a half month old baby on solids since last 10 days. I am giving him mashed rice, veggies, formula once a day and I also breastfeed a couple of times. I gave mashed apple yesterday and today. His stools are pasty, seedy and little bit of mucous in them. He passed stools twice today. Is it because of the apple?

Thanks for your query.
Complementary feeding ,that is introducing foods in addition to breast milk should be started after 6 months.
You should start with liquids like boiled pulsed ware, boiled rice water initially and then introduce semi solids and later on solids.
It has to be a slow process and introducing one thing at a time.for 4 to 5 days and then add other.

Give probiotic like lactobaccilus sachet for 2 to 3 days.

Wishing your baby good health.
God bless.

Hi ,
Thank you for your query.
Do not panic.
Change in diet changes the consistency of stool sometimes.
Fruits are generally recommended after the introduction and tolerance of cereals.
Weaning should be started after 6 months of age.
If the problem persists reintroduce apple later.
