Pediatrician, Critical Care 's  Response
Your son is suffering from Respiratory tract infection and hence he is having all the symptoms you've mentioned.

I'm worried that his illness has been going on for so long (2-3 weeks).

I would advise:
1. Syr Ondem (for vomiting) 2.5 ml maximum 3 times a day
2. Syr Calpol (for fever/pain) as per the instructions on the bottle
3. Nasal Salin drops, 2 drops in each nostril, 3-4 times /day
4. Ct Augmentin
5. Make sure he takes oral liquids he likes and has 5-6 wet nappies a day

6. Please get him checked over by Pediatrician, since he is not all eating or drinking, he is at risk of getting dehydration.

I hope he recovers soon

Pediatrician Dr. Sudha Shree Venkataraman's  Response
Hi

Illness of 2 to 3 weeks, poor intake and repeated vomiting... suggest that he needs to be evaluated further.
Have chest x ray done.
Is he breathing fast than normal? Does he have fever?
If suggestive of pneumonia have him hospitalised if needed.
He might need expectorants like Ambroxol (Mucolyte) that will loosen the secretions and help him bring them out.
Hope you find my answer useful.
