Child Has Hard Knot In RLQ, No Pain. What Is It?

my daughter has a small hard knot in RLQ. its very superficial, right under the skin. It s about pea sized. She doesnt voice any compliants of pain when palpated or otherwise. I noticed it when I was putting on her pajamas. She is 4 years old. Healthy in past, born with one kidney . Her abd is round and firm as well. Not sure if she has had a bm today. Thought perhaps it was stool , but it s so superficial, it seems as if it is undert the skin rather than in the bowel...Thanks.

H,
i
Welcome.
You are right, its unlikely from the bowel.
It is swelling most probably arising from the fat, muscle or nerve just beneath the skin.
If not painful, can be left alone.
Needs check up if
1. There is sudden enlargement.
2. There is pain.
2. If you are worried.

Regards
