Hi,
As three days passed and still high fever is continued we should think of having some bacterial infection.
Noe it is time to start antibiotic medicine.
Consult pediatrician and get him examined again.
Some blood work may require.
Give enough water and Meftal as and when required.
Ok and take care.

Pediatrician Dr. Synthyia Bhagat's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Your child is having fever with gastritis which is mostly viral in nature and settles in few days.
For fever monitor it every 4 to 6 hourly and give paracetamol if it is above 100F and meftal if it is above 102F as suggested by your pediatrician also.
Do tepid sponging if fever is above 102F.
give plenty of fluids.
It usually takes 24 to 48 hours for fever to come down.
For vomiting you can give antiemetic like domperidone in prescribed doses.
In case symptoms persist get him re evaluated by your doctor for further management.

Hope this helps.
God bless..
