After reading your post, it seems that your child is having viral fever but still he needs proper investigation and clinical examination for proper management. He should be investigated for :- 1. Complete Blood Count 2. Urine examination 3. Liver Function Test 4. Malaria and Typhoid test Tylenol contains acetaminophen and can be given for fever as adviced by his Paediatrician. You can give antihistaminic like cetrizine for cough after getting him examined by his doctor. Other medicatons can be planned according to the reports of the investigations. Viral fever usually get resolve by its own in 5-7 days and only symptomatic treatment should be given. Maintain the hydration of the child.
