Some kids develop loose stools after Ragi. You can give rice based items, like dhal rice, idli etc.
You can continue to give vegetable soups.
You can give curd which is good for loose stools as it has probiotic bacteria naturally. But the common misconception among people is curd is not good when child is having cold. Its very safe, just that you have to give curd in room temperature (Not directly from the refrigerator).
After his loose stools gets okay, you can start boiled and mashed apples.
If he has fever along with cold and cough, it might be because of infection most commonly virus.
Hope my answer helps you.
