Child Has Cough, Fever And Runny Nose. Taking Medication. Fever Is Not Coming Down. Advice?

My daughter has cough (yellow mucus ), running nose and fever (up to 102) from the past 10 days. Novamox antibiotic was prescribed by the doctor along with sumo syrup for 5 days but that didnt bring down the fever. Now she is on Zipod medicine for a day and still has the fever. Worried as to why fever is not coming down.

Thanks for your query.
Your daughter is having fever for last 10 days which is not coming down after two courses of antibiotics.
I suggest you to monitor her fever every 6 hourly to see pattern of fever.get her evaluated by pediatrician as some tests are required like CBC,ESR,Xray chest.
In the meantime continue with medication as advised.
Give plenty of fluids and soft bland diet so as to maintain hydration and nutrition.

try mefenamic acid + paracetamol and replace zipod with cefoprox ur daughter fever will be down :)
