Child Has Congestion And Cough After Tonsil Removal, Green Mucus. Normal?

hi my 4 y/o had his tonsills removed on Friday, he went into surgery with some congestion and mild cough , he doesn t complaint of any pain now, but he is congested and coughing a lot, yesterday I noticed a greenish mucus and I used some saline and suction bulb and it all came out, today I just noticed clear mucus but he is still coughing a lot, I now I t is normal after tonsillectom, I m wondering if t is normal for that excessive cough. thanks
