Child Has Cold Sweat Spells. On Breastfed, Was Advised To Cut Out Dairy. Suggestions?

My 9 week old son has cold sweat spells a lot. And he gets really fussy while having them. He's breastfed exclusively so I know it's not his diet and the dr had me cut out dairy previously because he was very fussy for a while (and that helped with the extreme fussiness)! So I watch my diet closely. But I can't figure out these cold sweat spells... Any suggestions?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Infants usually sweat excessively around the head.

Monitor his body temperature regularly.

Look for decreased body temperature conditions like hypothermia.

If the child is active, accepting feeds well, and urine output is good, and gaining weight normally, then nothing to worry.

Is there any feeding difficulty or seating while taking feeds?

Is taking breast feeds normally or stopping in between frequently?

If you find any feeding difficulties, consult the pediatrician for examination of the child.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
