Child Has Chest Pain With Rapid Heartbeat. Suggestions?

8 year old son has been complaining of chest pains off and on for the past 3 hours, right down the center of chest. Has a rapid heartbeat here and there. Kind of hurts when he lifts his arms. His chest does not hurt when taking in big breaths. Not crying or in complete discomfort. Right now heartbeat seems normal and not rapid. Had warm shower and drank a half a glass of milk about 20 minutes ago. Any suggestions on what I could or should do for him. Thank You

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
The chest pain in your child looks like some musculo skeletal pain related to muscle and ribs.
Pain will increase the heart rate by the physiological changes of the body.
Give him rest and if there is significant pain you can give Tylenol or ibuprofen in prescribed dosage.
And you can apply an analgesic cream or a spray.
If there is no relief, consult your Pediatrician to examine and advise the treatment.
Hope I have answered your query.
