Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Your son has been suffering from Asthma and the right treatment is to give him in addition to rescue therapy i.e asthalin a steroid inhaler as a preventive therapy on a long term basis .This will prevent him from getting recurrent episodes of asthmatic attacks and will negate the side effects of oral steroids.

All this while he was probably receiving only a short course of medication which was relieving him for a while but now I would suggest you to get him examined by a paediatrician who would examine and guide you in planing out his therapy so that in future he maintains good health and there are less absentees from school.
Bye
Take care.
