Child Has Belly Ache. Morning He Is Fine, No Fever, Regular Appetite. Problem?
my 4 year old son has woke up the last two nights crying about a belly ache. He throws up and then is fine. During the day he is fine, no fever and regular appetite and normal energy level. I'm concerned there ifs something going on. My brain says it's him getting overheated while sleeping, but my gut feels like I'm missing something bigger going on.
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. There are many reasons for belly pain in children. The cause of pain is known by the site of pain. As it is waking him from sleep with crying, it needs investigations. Clinical examination to palpate the abdomen to look for any tender points is needed. Investigations like ultrasound abdomen and pelvis, CUE will find out if there is any significant problem. Consult the Pediatrician for clinical examination and investigations. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
