Child Had Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy. Holding Head Strange Way, Continual Reflex. No Pain In Ears, Head. Causes Of Anesthesia?

My 9 yo had a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy 5 days ago. Over the last 2 days, he's developed a strange way of hold his head unpright at an angle and now also has a continual reflex of grabbing the back of his head. He denies pain in his ears, head, neck. He seems to not realize he's doing it. He's super emotional and is having behavioral fits that he did not used to have.
Could the anesthesia have triggered an autism of some sort?

Hello Friend
Welcome to H.C.M
With little information and as per the history you have given the child may be doing this to avoid pain. this reflex is present immediately after the surgery. but there is nothing to worry at present.
But still I would suggest you to consult the operating surgeon. Please don’t hesitate to consult and ask for any more query. i will be pleased to answer.
With best wishes for a speedy cure
Yours sincerely
