Child Had Adenotonsilectomy, Inner Cheek Discomfort, Cannot Chew, Taking Antibiotics And Pain Killers

hi doctor, my 3 year old daughter had adenotonsilectomy 4 days ago. she swallows well doesn t seem to have a problem with that but she complains about her inner cheek and cries alot when she tries to chew on something. she s afraid to eat pulling her cheek out with her finger while crying in pain. Please help. thank you p.s she s taking antibiotics and pain killers

Hi, Thanks for query,
This might be due to some bite in the cheek inside due to putting some spatula or forcep put inside for wide opening of mouth and there might be some soreness in the cheek.
Nothing to worry,within a day or two it will be healed up.
Apply glycerine or some analgesic gel.
Ok and bye.
