My daughter aged 5 yrs is having fever since last night to the tune of 100.6 deg F.Once I administer Calpol 250 mg-4 ml,fever is coming down to 96 deg F but again after five -six hours its rising to 100.6 deg F-100.8 deg F.She is having running nose,sneezing occasionally and also cough.Doctor prescribed Ascoril and asked to increase to calpol dosage to 5ml and asked to observe for 1-2 days before administering any antibiotic.Please opine.
