Child Fell At Football Practice, Hit Chin. Should I Take Him To ER?

My son fell at football practice and hit the front of his chin on concrete stairs. He was checked out by trainer, said cut was jaggied and didn t appear to need stitches. He is complaining of jaw pain, and doesn t want to eat. We did cold compress and gave advil. Should I take him to ER?

You should better take him to ER and get an x-Ray done to rule out jaw fracture.
You may need dental surgeon's consultation in case of fracture.
