Child Fall, Had Stitches To His Chin And Lip. Does He Need Vaccination Immediately?
Hi there, My son is 8 and had a bad fall at the skate park today, requiring 9 stitches to his chin and lip. My concern is, I don t know if his vaccinations are up to date. I think they are, but I m not positive, and can t find his yellow card. Should he have had a shot today, or can he get one on Tuesday if necessary when his family doctor can check the vaccination schedule??

If you are unsure, it is safer to get a shot of Tetanus injection, rather than waiting for Tuesday.
I would inform the ER department where you had stitches taken and speak to the doctor and take it forwards from there.
