Child burps a lot, has difficulty to eat. What can be done?

Hi, I have a 3 year old son and he is burping a lot for the last 3 to 4 weeks. Even if he drinks a sip of water or just eats one nut or so, he burps immediately. Sometimes he is finding it difficult to burp in one go, he releases it in 2 or 3 small burps but with difficulty. And he is also finding it difficult to eat now. Please help

Allergist and Immunologist 's  Response
Burping in children can have several causes such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (treatment: Gaviscon, or acid lowering agents), as gall bladder problems, hiatus hernia or H pyloru gastritis is unlikely in little children.
Fizzy drinks can also be a cause and not recommended.
