Hi,
Though it is possible but most of the time babies at this time are mouthing I.e they put fingers in their mouth and not necessarily teething,so they drool .If your baby is not crying and comfortable you don't need to give any medications. However during this time they sometimes land with tummy infection due to fingers in mouth so watch for increase frequency in stools and fever if any of these happen then get him evaluated for treating infection. At present keep him well hydrated and this would be right time to start weaning if it has not been started.
Bye
Take care.

no need to give calpol for this. calpol is mainly for fever and pain. upto 4 years thumbsucking is a normal phenomenon. no need to give any medicine for that. for loose stools you can give oral zinc preparation (syp.zinconia) 10mg per day.
