Child Bleeding After Cutting Lower Lip. Will He Need Stitches?

my baby brother (4 years old) hit the wooden chair and he got a cut in his mouth and its not so bad.then right under his lower lip ,he got a deep cut and my mother said its because when he fell he bit through.im very nervous and im wondering if he will need stitches. he was bleeding a lot but then it stopped . he is on his way to the hospital .will he need stitches????

Lower lip has a very good blood supply and most of the wounds over the lip heal very well. If the wound margins are gaping in the normal position it is better to put stitches. Otherwise if the wound margins are already in an approximated / joined position he would not need stitches.
