Child. Recurring Stools In Pants, Vomiting, Stomach Ache After Eating. Serious?

My 6 year old son has recently (the last 2 or 3 months) been pooping in his pants regularly and just this past week began vomiting and complaining of tummy aches after he eats. He is normally a very good eater and like all types of food. He now says he doesn't like rice anymore. At first I thought he was just not going to the bathroom because he didn't want to come in from playing, but it's happening more often. I'm starting to wonder if there is more to it. Should I take him to the doctor? Is this more serious than just regression. I've been hearing a lot about gluten intolerance so I read a few articles. Does this sound like I need to look into it further?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
How many times he pass stool?
Mention the consistency of stool,
Color of stool,

Now there is vomiting and pain in abdomen.
If pain is in the epigasrium region ( stomach area) than more chances are that child has gastritis ( hyper acidity).
Due to over concerned of parents they feed their child more than normal diet.
If more diet than there would be vomiting,
Pain in abdomen,
many times passing of stool ( bowel movements).
if consistency is solid or semisolid ( of stool ) please consider this point of over feeding.
Chances of gluten intolerance in this case is not possible as symptoms are against it.

After diet control , if there is many motions than consult a physician and get in complete examination.
Hope I have answered your query.
If further any question I will be happy to help.
Good luck.
Dr. HET
