Child. Itchy, Pimple Like Rashes On Feet Spreading To Legs And Cheeks. On Treatment For Scabies. Suggest

Hi my is Melanie, my 19 month old daughter has a rash that started just on her feet that is extremly itchy at night. It was all over her feet and looked like little pimples. Doc thought is was a contact dermatis, but now it has spread up her legs and little on her cheeks. It seems to start off the color of her skin and then turns more red. Now Doc has treated her for scabies, we did the treatment last night, even though its not in typical areas. I was wondering if it could be anything else that we are just not thinking of?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
The cause for itchy rash could be allergy, scabies, contact dermatitis, and some times viral exanthem.
Continue medication as advised by the doctor.
You can give an oral antihistamine like hydroxyzine in prescribed dose.
Be in follow up with the doctor.
Hope I have answered your question.
Regards.
