Chest X-ray Shows PTC. Apicolordotic Exam Shows Fibrohazed Densities. Meaning?

Hi I m 25 years old,I don t have any history of PTB but when I got my Annual medical Exam Result ,it shows PTB left upper Lobe . I had a second opinion with other doc. Doctor from another clinic advice me to have Apicolordotic Exam instead of Chest Xray and the result is "There are minimal fibrohazed densities in the left upper lobe suggestive to PTB Minimal, Activity Undetermined. What does it mean? I was also advice to have SPUTUM TEST but all my samples were rejected because accordingly its SALIVA.. i dont have cough thats why I cant submit the exact SPUTUM asked....Please advice ...Thank so much...

Hello,

You're at the initial stages of Pulmonary Tuberculosis where there is involvement of lung parenchyma.

This will later for cavity and sputum collection.

Sputum yield will be good at that stage of the disease.

You may try give early morning sputum sample in which the yield may be quite better.

You have a good radiological evidence of PTB to start of Anti tuberculosis Treatment.
